The Antminer S19J Pro Will Not Be On the Market Until the Fall of 2022
The leading ASIC manufacturer Bitmain reported that its latest Antminer S19j Pro models are sold out until the third quarter of 2022.
Pre-orders for Q1 and Q2 2022 began in mid-August and were closed almost immediately due to increased demand for the Antminer S19j Pro. The next phase of pre-sales will begin in September of this year, but customers will not actually be able to get ASICs until Q3 and Q4 2022.
Most likely they will cost much more, because, on August 25, chipmaker TSMC hinted that they will have to raise selling prices for their products by 15-20%.
Bitmain promised to increase production capacities and offset the price increase. The company is also hoping for faster shipments to customers.
The Antminer S19j Pro is considered Bitmain's most advanced model. It has a capacity of nearly 100 Th/s with a claimed power consumption of 3,100 watts. Company representatives also note that:
"It has an excellent power usage efficiency, great workmanship, and impeccable after-sales service. The useful lifespan of the S19 series products is estimated to exceed 6 years".
