Our guide shows you how to get more power from your Whatsminer ASICs using BiXBiT custom firmware. By changing simple settings or adding a second power supply, you can increase your hashrate by more than 50%. We will explain how to install the software and set up your hardware for the best results.
Follow these simple steps to increase the speed of your M20, M30, or M50 series miners:
Go to the BiXBiT website and download the firmware for your specific miner series. You also need a program called Whatsminer Tool to find your miner on the network.
Open the Whatsminer Tool and "flash" (update) your ASIC with the new firmware. If the network update does not work, you can use an SD card to install it manually. If you use liquid cooling, remember to update the PSU firmware to turn off the fan sensors.
To get the maximum speed, you need to connect a second power supply (2PSU). This is a hardware modification where you connect an extra power unit (at least 2kW) to help the main one. This provides enough energy for the higher speed.
Go to the "Overclock" tab in the miner’s web menu. You can pick a ready-made profile or change the Frequency and Voltage yourself. It is better to make small changes so the miner stays stable.
After you click "Apply," watch the hashrate and temperature. Make sure your cooling is strong enough. A fully overclocked miner uses much more electricity (up sometimes over 6kW), so it needs good airflow or liquid cooling.
Start improving your mining performance today!
