Insiders Revealed the Specs of the New Intel GPU
Information has leaked to the web about the expected specs and equipment of a new discrete video card from Intel. Sales are scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
The device should appear in Dell and Asus laptops. The desktop version will be the Intel Alchemist DG2-128EU with 6GB of GDDR6 memory with 96-bit interface. The version for laptops will not be as powerful and will only have 4 GB of memory and 64-bit. The power consumption will not exceed 75W. The price for an entry-level card will start at $200 USD. There will be a total of three versions of the DG2 GPU and six Arc Alchemist.
The Arc Alchemist A128, according to insiders, could be comparable in performance to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 and GTX 1650 SUPER.
Intel has not yet commented on the possibility of mining on its devices. However, it can be assumed that these GPUs will be able to produce 13.38 MH/s when mining Ethereum. Accordingly, the profit will be about 1 USD per day / 30 USD per month. The payback period of the devices in this case will be from 10 to 24 months or even more.
Earlier in October, Intel announced that it would soon enter the market with a new video card that would have no limitations for miners.
